My research
My research focuses on how to reduce stress for employees in the workplace and how to design human-centred digitalised working environments in such a way as to reduce the risk of information overload. I also investigate how artificial intelligence is integrated into work contexts, how it is perceived by human team members, and how trust in digital systems develops dynamically.
Information overload is one of the most frequently cited stressors in the workplace, yet we have only a vague understanding of its causes and consequences. My research shows that, especially in everyday life, we should be much more concerned with the quality of information than with its quantity, and that in future more energy should be invested in developing information literacy, i.e. how we deal with information.
