Academic knowledge in the innovation cycle: The basic research carried out at the University of Vienna is a driving force of new developments in practice. In exchange with partners in the business world new questions constantly arise which are then addressed by research and investigated in cooperation projects. The University offers different services to support the development and implementation of these cooperation projects, for example, as part of FFG projects and Christian Doppler Laboratories.
Furthermore, the University contributes to the economic innovation capacity through the transfer of novel technologies as well as by promoting entrepreneurial activities of its students and employees. In addition, the University of Vienna’s postgraduate continuing education and training programmes support companies in the continuous education of their employees. The University supports the careers of its graduates in close cooperation with different partners in the business world.
