Alice Vadrot

The ERC project TwinPolitics will investigate the creation and current use of digital twins as a (geo)political phenomenon that could permanently change science-policy interfaces in global environmental politics. The focus is on the question of whether, and if so, how digital twins can contribute to equitable multilateral negotiations in the future. Alice Vadrot and her team will apply new methods to empirically investigate digital twins as socio-technical and political relations and model their creation and current use at the interface between science and politics. To this end, they will combine ethnographic methods and computational social science and apply them to digital ocean twins in the EU, China, and the US.
