"In the public perception, democracy is associated with expectations and hopes for a good life. More and more frequently, however, democracies find themselves in multiple crises. Democracy must be thought of as an object of conflict. What potential do crisis-ridden processes hold for the formation of democracy? I am particularly interested in transnational perspectives in a European or global context, in political education research in the context of diversity and heterogeneity and in questions raised by political communication for democracy education." (Britta Breser)
